Directions
Driving Directions from Interstate 5:
From I-5, take exit 260 for Slater Rd / Lummi Island.
Turn west onto Slater Rd. (Going north from Bellingham, west is to your left. Going south from Ferndale, west is a right turn.)
After about 3.7 miles, turn left onto Haxton Way (at a stoplight).
You’ll reach the ferry dock at Gooseberry Point on your right after about 6.5 miles. Turn into the well-marked ferry lane to get in line.
Take the Whatcom Chief Ferry to Lummi Island. (See links in the right sidebar for detailed ferry information.)
From the ferry dock on the Island, turn right onto Nugent Rd.
The Beach Store Cafe is about a block ahead on your left.
If you prefer, you can park your car in the ferry parking area at Gooseberry Point (or take the WTA route 50 bus from Bellingham) and ride the ferry as a walk-on passenger. The Beach Store Cafe is a very short walk from the ferry dock on Lummi Island.
